Loni Love Talks About Tamera Mowry's Exit From 'The Real'

Tamera Mowry-Housley is leaving The Real and Loni Love, her talk show co-host of seven years, has opened up about the exit.

Speaking with E! News' Justin Sylvester, Love, 49, called Mowry-Housley's departure "bittersweet" after joking that she was going to kidnap the star to keep her in her seat. "But the thing is that Tamera wants to move on and do other things. So when she told me, I'm, you know, 100 percent in support of that," she explained.

Love and Mowry-Housley have been on the hosting panel since the show launched in 2013 and the former isn't afraid to discuss the juicy stories about the show or other life lessons. During her interview, which was in promotion for her new book, I Tried to Change So You Don't Have To, the comedian said that her release features a number of surprising tales. "I think that a lot of people didn't know that I have an electrical engineering degree," she said. "People didn't know that I was homeless. One time I was married. I was an engineer.”

Earlier this month, Mowry-Housley, who has been under fire over her husband, Adamn Housley, and his job at Fox News, announced her departure from the daytime talk show. She joined the show in 2013, alongside Lone, Adrienne Houghton, Jeannie Mai and Tamar Braxton. "The friendships that I've made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I've had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better," she wrote on Instagram, noting the show's NAACP Image Awards for Best Talk Series and a Daytime Emmy in 2018. "However, all good things must come to an end, and it's with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from 'The Real.' To my fellow hosts, I love you, I will miss you, and I will always be there for you. Thank you for teaching me, supporting me, and loving all of me. Sisters forever."
