Gunna has confirmed that his joint album with Offset is on the way.
On Monday, September 22, the Atlanta rapper hosted an intimate event for his fans in Los Angeles, where he performed songs from his new album The Last Wun. Midway through his performance, the Grammy-nominated artist was asked about his long-awaited collaborative project with Offset. In response, Gunna explained that he and 'Set are working on the album.
"Yes, it’s in the works. But we spacing it out," Gunna replied. "He dropped his album, I dropped my album. I was on his, he was on mine. And I feel like that was sprinkles and breadcrumbs for us to give you that meal soon."
Gunna and Offset have collaborated on several songs as far back as 2017, when they first teamed up on "Beat The Case" for Gunna's Drip Season 2 album. Their second major collaboration, "Wild Wild West," appeared on Offset's debut solo album FATHER OF 4. They reunited again on "Pink Toes" off Quality Control: Control The Streets Volume 2. Within the past year, Gunna and Offset continued to make waves with their collaborations, including "Style Rare," "prada dem," and "Different Species," which appeared on Set's recent album KIARI. The duo recently joined forces again on "At My Purest" for Gunna's new LP.
Offset first fueled the rumor about his joint album with Wunna last year. He previewed a few tracks from his new album including two collaborations with Gunna. "They been waiting on this," Offset said at the time. "This the one they want!" As of this report, the album's title and release date have not been confirmed.
