Another day, another shooting.

It seems that every day there's a shooting with multiple victims.

What can be done to stop this madness?

Three people were killed Sunday afternoon in a shooting in Northwest Austin. Police are still looking for 41-year-old Stephen Nicholas Broderick, who has been identified as the suspect in the shooting, is a former Travis County Deputy.

The victims – two women and a man – were pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, a child was also part of the situation, but is now safe in the custody of police.

Broderick, who is a former sheriff's deputy, was described by police as five-foot-seven-inches tall with a medium build. He was last seen in a gray hoodie, sunglasses and a baseball hat.

Interim Austin Police Chief Joe Chacon said, "Obviously this is a tragedy. We have people who have lost their lives here. We'll do our best…to get this person in custody…and hopefully with no more loss of life." (Austin American-Statesman)
