TSR STAFF: Jade Ashley @Jade_Ashley94 _____________________________________ #JeronimoYanez, the officer responsible for shooting #PhilandoCastile will receive a $48,500 buyout as he parts ways with the police department where he was employed during the 2016 killing of Castile. _____________________________________ According to USA Today, in a separation agreement that was released on Monday, Yanez, “will be paid the money in a lump sum, minus applicable deductions and withholdings for state and federal taxes.” _____________________________________ The agreement also revealed that the Minneapolis suburb of St. Anthony will also pay Yanez for up to 600 hours of accrued and unused personal leave pay. _____________________________________ According to documents released by the city, Yanez who joined the department back in November of 2011 received an annual salary of $72,600 at the time of the Castile shooting. _____________________________________ Last month he was acquitted on—read more at📷: Stephen Maturen/ @gettyimages)
